When you are learning how to install sod, one of the first things that you should learn how to do is how to prepare the soil. If you do a good job preparing the soil, then your new sod will last a long time and look beautiful. If you do a lousy job at preparing the soil, then your new grass isn’t going to look very good for very long. The easiest way to do this is to start out by writing a sod cutter at cutting out all of the existing grass that is on your lawn.  ( if you don’t have any grass to begin with, that is even better.)

After you get rid of all of the dead grass or unhealthy grass, your next step is to bring in good topsoil that is mixed with wheat free compost. What you want to do is you’re going to want to Rototiller this into your yard. Make sure to go over the whole lawn for five times the Rototiller Suzy make sure you get rid of clumps and dirt that is present. If you find large rocks, remove them because they’re not going to be very much help with your new sod. After you are done, Rototiller can make sure to grade everything so that it is level. Rollover your lawn with a slow roller to make sure it is properly compacted. Your next step is to rule on your sod. Make sure that you have your sod completely rolled and leveled, then go back and cut the sod to fit your lawn.  With a large lot, it could take a day or two to prepare your lawn for the new sod. Make sure that you don’t have the sod cut and delivered until you are ready to install that day. That will also help to prove your results and hope you have a nicer looking lawn.

Right after you install your new sod, make sure to water and make sure to keep it moist until it grows all the way. If you’re sod dries out, then it can die a lot faster.
